Removal Procedure

  1. Move the shift lever to the park position and apply the parking brake.
  2. Position a drain pan to catch the fluid that leaks out. Do not reuse the old fluid.

  3. Object Number: 258747  Size: SH
  4. Remove the pressure switch electrical connector.
  5. Remove the pressure indicator switch (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 258747  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the low pressure indicator switch (2).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the pressure indicator switch to 11 N·m (106 lb in).

  3. Install the pressure indicator switch electrical connector.
  4. Release the parking brake.
  5. Check the parking brake operating and holding ability.
