Disassembly Procedure

Tools Required

    • J 41352 Modular Column Holding Fixture
    • J 42640 Anti-Rotation Pin

    Object Number: 323849 Size: SH
  1. Insert the column and J 41352 into a vise.
  2. Insert J 42640 into the lower shroud.
  3. Remove the tilt lever assembly. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

    4. Object Number: 306205 Size: SH
  4. Remove the 2 pan head tapping screws (1) from the lower shroud (2).
  5. Remove the lower shroud (2).

    6. Object Number: 306214 Size: SH
  6. Remove the 2 TORX® head screws (1) from the upper shroud (2).
  7. Remove the upper shroud (2).
