if required.
- Verify that the Scan Tool

firmly connected to the DLC.
- Turn the ignition to the RUN position.
- Attempt scan tool communications with the powertrain control module
(PCM).

- Disconnect the powertrain control module (PCM) connector C 2.
- Disconnect the electronic brake control module (EBCM) connector
C 1.
- Connect a J 39200
DMM on the
data link connector (DLC) from terminal 2 to terminal 4.
- Measure the resistance.
Is the resistance greater than the specified value?
