Disconnect the horn switch pigtail connector at the base of the steering column.

Do the horns stop operating?

Replace the horn switch. Refer to Horn Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Remove the horn relay. Refer to Horns Components .

Do the horns stop operating?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

1. Inspect for a short to ground in CKT 28 (BLK) between the horn relay and the horn switch.
2. If OK, replace the horn relay. Refer to Horn Relay Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Locate and repair the short to B + in CKT 29 (DK GRN) between the horn relay and the horns.
