Removal Procedure

Notice: Do not touch the connector pins or soldered components on the circuit board in order to prevent possible electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage to the PCM.

Important: The ignition should always be OFF when installing or removing the TAC module connectors (3).

  1. Remove the electrical connectors from the TAC module (1).
  2. Remove the TAC module retaining fasteners from steering column bracket . Remove the TAC module (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.


    Object Number: 215301  Size: SH
  1. Install TAC module (1) to the steering column bracket .
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the TAC module retaining fasteners to 2.0 N·m (18 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connectors (2) to the TAC module (1).
