Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 410070 Size: SH
  1. Release the parking brake.
  2. Remove the mounting nuts (1) that retain the parking brake pedal to the cowl.
  3. Remove the cable (2) from the pedal assembly.
  4. Remove the pedal assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 410070 Size: SH
  1. Connect the cable (2) to the pedal assembly.
  2. Position the pedal assembly and install the bolts.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the pedal mounting nuts (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  4. Adjust the parking brake. Refer to Park Brake Cable Service/Adjustment .
