Removal Procedure

  1. Move the column shift lever to the park position and apply the manual parking brake.

  2. Object Number: 29075  Size: SH
  3. Position a drain pan to catch the fluid that leaks out. Do not reuse the old fluid.
  4. Remove the access panel on the inboard side of the component box.
  5. Remove the pressure switch electrical connector.
  6. Remove the pressure switch (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 29075  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the pressure switch (2).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the pressure switch to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  3. Install the pressure switch electrical connector.
  4. Install the access panel on the inboard side of the component box.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the access panel fasteners to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  6. Release the manual parking brake.
  7. Check the parking brake operating and holding ability.
