Is the fuse blown?

  1. Check for a short circuit and repair it if necessary.
  2. Replace the fuse.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Ignition in ACC.
  2. Probe the positive terminal of the fuse using a grounded test lamp.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Repair the open circuit between the battery and the fuse.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Ignition in ACC.
  2. Probe the ignition + terminal at the wiper switch using a grounded test lamp.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Repair the open circuit between the fuse and the switch.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Ignition in ACC.
  2. Wiper switch in LO.
  3. Probe the GRA (91) wire at the wiper switch using a grounded test lamp.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 9

Replace the wiper/washer switch.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Ignition OFF.
  2. Check for an open circuit between the wiper switch and the wiper motor module.

Is there an open circuit?

Repair the open circuit between the switch and the motor module.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect a fused jumper wire to the ground terminal at the wiper motor module.
  2. Ignition in ACC.
  3. Wiper switch in LO.

Do the wipers operate?
