Check the wiper fuse.

Is a fuse blown?

  1. Check for a short circuit and repair it if necessary.
  2. Replace the fuse.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Ignition in ACC.
  2. Probe the positive terminal of the fuse using a grounded test lamp.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Repair the positive circuit between the battery and the fuse.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Ignition in ACC.
  2. Probe the ignition + wire at the wiper/washer switch using a grounded test lamp.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 7

Repair the open circuit between the fuse and the wiper/washer switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

  1. Disconnect the washer pump connector.
  2. Ignition in ACC.
  3. Wiper/washer switch in WASH.
  4. Probe the PNK (94) wire at the washer pump connector using a grounded test lamp.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

--

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 8

Repair the open circuit between the switch and the pump.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

  1. Disconnect the washer pump connector.
  2. Ignition switch in ACC.
  3. Connect a test lamp to the BLK (150) wire at the washer pump as a ground.
  4. Wiper/washer switch in WASH.
  5. Probe the PNK (94) wire with the test lamp.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 11

Replace the washer pump.

Repair the open BLK (150) ground wire.
