  1. Ignition in RUN.
  2. Cruise control switch ON.
  3. Probe the PNK/BLK (39) wire at the cruise control connector with a grounded test lamp.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Locate and repair the open PNK/BLK wire.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Cruise control switch ON.
  3. "RESUME/ACCEL" switch depressed.
  4. Connect a grounded test lamp to the DK GRN (83) wire at the cruise control switch connector.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

--

Go to Step 5

Replace the cruise control switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Cruise control switch ON.
  3. "RESUME/ACCEL" switch depressed.
  4. Connect a grounded test lamp to the DK GRN (83) wire at the powertrain control module (PCM).

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Locate and repair the open DK GRN (83) wire between the cruise control switch and the PCM.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Replace the PCM.
