The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some 2001 Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon XL models equipped with an 8.1L (L18) engine and Federal Emissions were manufactured without Position 2 Oxygen Sensors.
Recommendation/Instructions:
This is a normal concern and no repair attempts should be made to alter the Oxygen Sensor System. 2001 Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon XL with Federal Emissions and an 8.1L engine that were Engine-Dyno Certified do not have Position 2 Oxygen Sensors.
