COWL VENT PANEL APPEARANCE REPLACE WAVY/WARPED PANEL

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1987 'L' CAR, CORSICA, TEMPEST AND BERETTA

Customer comments that the cowl vent panel is wavy or has a poor appearance can be repaired by installing a later design panel. Vehicles assembled prior to the following breakpoints had early design panels, some of which are loose or wavy:

The later design panels are slightly longer. The part numbers for the later design panels are 10077402 (R. H.) and 10077403 (L. H.)

Service Correction

1. Remove wiper arms.

2. Pry off attaching fasteners and remove drivers side vent panel. Remove hose from drivers side wiper arm.

3. Remove passenger side vent panel. Pull off hose from wiper arm.

4. Grind down windshield support stops to flush with glass.

5. Reverse the procedure and install later design vent panels.

Use the most applicable labour operation from the Canadian Labour Time Guide and claim 0.4 hours.
