Customer comments that the rear bumper fascia sags on the subject vehicles can be corrected by adding a reinforcement.
Service Procedure
1. Center P/N 14069615 reinforcement between exhaust outlet notches in fascia. Flange should be approximately 10MM rearward of upturn flange on fascia. See Illustration.
2. Using P/N 14069615 reinforcement as a template, drill four (4) 5.1mm diameter holes through fascia.
3. Pop rivet reinforcement to inside surface of fascia using four (4) 2436998 rivets. With the reinforcement in place, the fascia can be deflected upwaid to take the sag out of the fascia.
4. Prep and paint rivet heads to match fascia.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
