Has the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic System Check been performed?

Go to Step 2

  1. Disconnect the windshield wiper solvent level switch.
  2. Connect a DMM between the windshield wiper solvent level switch connector terminal B and ground.
  3. Measure CKT 150 for continuity to ground from terminal B of the windshield wiper solvent level switch connector.

Is the resistance to ground less than the specified value?

0.5ohms

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Locate and repair an open or high resistance in CKT 150.

Is the repair complete?

--

  1. Connect a jumper wire across the windshield washer solvent level switch connector terminal B and terminal A.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

Does the Low Washer Fluid Warning message display on the Driver Information Center?

--

Go to Step 5

Replace the windshield wiper solvent level switch. Refer to Washer Pump/Reservoir Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the underhood electrical center connector C2 and C3.
  2. Connect a DMM between the windshield wiper solvent level switch connector terminal A and the underhood electrical center connector C3 terminal C9.
  3. Measure CKT 99 for continuity between the underhood electrical center connector C3 terminal C9 and the windshield wiper solvent level switch connector terminal A.

Is the resistance between these connectors less than the specified value?

0.5ohms

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Locate and repair an open or high resistance in CKT 99 between terminal C9 of the underhood electrical center connector C3 and terminal A of the windshield wiper solvent level switch connector.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  2. Connect a DMM between terminal A4 of the instrument cluster connector and terminal E7 of the underhood electrical center connector C2.
  3. Measure CKT 99 for continuity between the underhood electrical center connector C2 terminal E7 and the instrument cluster connector terminal A4.

Is the resistance between these connectors less than the specified value?

0.5ohms

Go to Step 10

Locate and repair an open or high resistance in CKT 99 between terminal E7 of the underhood electrical center connector C2 and terminal A4 of the instrument cluster connector.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Check for continuity of CKT 99 through the underhood electrical center.
  2. Connect a DMM between terminal C9 (connector C3) and terminal E7 (connector C2) on the bottom of the underhood electrical center (see wiring diagram).
  3. Measure CKT 99 for continuity between the underhood electrical center terminal E7 (connector C2) and terminal E9 (connector C3).

Is the resistance between these terminals less than the specified value?

0.5ohms

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Is the repair complete?
