The combination valve consists of three basic componants: The Proprotioning Valve, The Brake Pressure Sensor, and the Brake Pressure Differential Valve.
The proprotioning valve is in-line with the rear brake pipes and limits the hydraulic pressure to the rear brakes after a predetermined master cylinder pressure has been reached. The proportioning valve improves the front to rear brake balancing during normal braking.
The electronic brake traction control module uses the input from the brake pressure sensor during an active handling event to give more accurate control over the braking system.
The brake pressure differential valve monitors the front and rear brake systems to measure any difference in hydraulic pressure between the two.
