  1. Disconnect the connector C219.
  2. Turn the wiper switch to the LO position.
  3. Connect a DMM between terminal C and terminal A of connector C219 leading towards the wiper switch.
  4. Measure the wiper switch for continuity between terminal C and terminal A of connector C219 with the wiper switch in the LO position.

Is continuity present across the wiper switch when moved to the LO position?

  1. Wiper switch still in the LO position.
  2. Connect a DMM between terminal C and terminal B of connector C219 leading towards the wiper switch.
  3. Measure the resistance through the wiper switch.

Is the resistance within the specified values?

23-25 Kohms

  1. Reconnect the connector C219.
  2. Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  4. Turn the wiper switch to the LO position.
  5. Connect a DMM between terminal E of the wiper motor connector and ground.
  6. Measure the voltage.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Repair an open in CKT 95.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Ignition switch still in the ON position.
  2. Wiper switch still in the LO position.
  3. Connect a DMM between terminal D of the wiper motor connector and ground.
  4. Measure the voltage.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Repair an open in CKT 91.

Replace the wiper motor assembly. Refer to Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement .
