Wipers Delay Mode Inoperative

  1. Disconnect the wiper washer switch connector C219.
  2. Set the wiper switch in the INT position.
  3. Using a DMM set to the ohms scale, measure the resistance through the wiper/washer switch from terminal C of connector C219 to terminal A.
  4. Move the wiper switch thorough the entire delay range, one notch at a time.

Is the resistance within the specified values?

39-690 Kohms

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

  1. Set the wiper switch in the INT position.
  2. Using a DMM set to the ohms scale, measure the resistance through the wiper/washer switch from terminal C of connector C219 to terminal B.

Is the resistance within the specified values?

23-25 Kohms

  1. Reconnect the wiper/washer switch connector C219.
  2. Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  4. Set the wiper switch in the INT position.
  5. Connect a DMM between the wiper motor connector terminal E and ground.
  6. Move the wiper switch thorough the entire delay range, one notch at a time.
  7. Measure the voltage.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Repair the open in CKT 95.
