RAP Inoperative-LH Door

Has the RAP System Check been performed?

Go to Step 2

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

    • Install a scan tool.
    • Display the Diagnostic Circuit Check/Class 2 Message Monitor.

Are the BCM, and LDCM listed as active?

--

Go to Step 3

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Data Link Communications

Using the scan tool, select the LDCM DTC display.

Are any DTCs displayed?

--

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Power Door Systems

Go to Step 4

  1. Using the scan tool, select the LDCM input display.
  2. Observe the driver door ajar switch status.
  3. Open and close the driver door.

Does the scan tool indicate the switch as open and closed?

--

Go to Step 12

Does the scan tool indicate the driver door ajar switch always open?

--

Go to Step 6

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C2.
  2. Disconnect the LDCM connector C1.
  3. Connect a DMM from the LDCM connector C1 terminal 10 to ground.
  4. Driver door closed, measure the resistance to ground of circuit 745.

Is the resistance within specified values?

Infinite

Go to Step 12

Go to Step 7

Inspect and repair the short to ground in circuit 745. If ok replace the driver door latch. Refer to Door Lock Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

  1. Disconnect the LDCM connector C1.
  2. Connect a DMM from connector C1 terminal 10 to ground.
  3. Driver door open, measure the resistance to ground of circuit 745.

Is the resistance within specified values?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 12

  1. Disconnect the door latch connector C2.
  2. Connect a DMM from connector C2 terminal D to ground.
  3. Measure the resistance to ground of circuit 150.

Is the resistance within specified values?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 10

Inspect and repair the open or high resistance in circuit 745. If ok replace the driver door latch. Refer to Door Lock Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

Repair the open or high resistance in circuit 150.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

Replace the LDCM. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
