Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 289910  Size: SH
  1. Position the folding top with the number one and five bow up.
  2. Remove the fasteners attaching the front rail side seals to the number one bow.

  3. Object Number: 289908  Size: SH
  4. Remove the seal compression panel.
  5. Remove the staples attaching the top cover to the number one bow.
  6. Remove the staples attaching the tension cable flaps to the number one bow.
  7. Remove the staples attaching the headliner to the number one bow.

  8. Object Number: 214592  Size: SH
  9. Remove the screws attaching the sides of the headliner to the number one bow (1).
  10. Remove the speed nuts attaching the headliner to the number one bow mounting nuts.
  11. Remove the screws attaching the headliner to the number two bow.

  12. Object Number: 214136  Size: SH
  13. Position the top in a closed position with the folding top stowage lid open to gain access to the headliner attachments.
  14. Remove the screws attaching the headliner elastic straps to the number five bow.
  15. Remove the screws attaching the headliner to the rear side rails.
  16. Remove the screws attaching the headliner elastic straps to the rear side rails.

  18. Position the number 5 bow in a up position to gain access to the number 4 bow screws.
  19. Remove the screws attaching the rear window support straps from the number four bow.
  20. Remove the screws attaching the headliner to the number four bow.
  21. Remove the screws attaching the headliner to the number three bow.
  22. Remove the headliner.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 289910  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the headliner to the number three bow.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the headliner attaching screws to 2 N·m (17 lb in).

  3. Install the headliner to the number four bow.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the headliner attaching screws to 2 N·m (17 lb in).

  5. Install the rear window support straps to the number four bow.

  6. Object Number: 214136  Size: SH
  7. Install the screws attaching the headliner elastic straps to the rear side rails.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the elastic strap attaching screws to 2 N·m (17 lb in).

  9. Install the screws attaching the headliner to the rear side rails.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the headliner attaching screws to 2 N·m (17 lb in).

  11. Install the screws attaching the headliner elastic straps to the number five bow.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the elastic strap screws to 2 N·m (17 lb in).

  13. Position the number one bow in the up position.
  14. Install the screws attaching the headliner to the number two bow.
  15. Tighten
    Tighten the headliner attaching screws to 2 N·m (17 lb in).

  16. Install the speed nuts attaching the headliner to the number one bow attaching nuts.
  17. Install the right and left screw attaching the sides of the headliner to the number one bow.
  18. Tighten
    Tighten the headliner attaching screws to 2 N·m (17 lb in).


    Object Number: 214592  Size: SH
  19. Staple the headliner to the number one bow (1).
  20. Staple the tension cable flaps to the number one bow.
  21. Staple the top material to the number one bow.

  22. Object Number: 289908  Size: SH
  23. Install the seal compression panel to the number one bow.
  24. Tighten
    Tighten the seal compression panel screws to 3 N·m (26 lb in).

  25. Install the fasteners attaching the front side rail weatherstrips to the number one bow.
  26. Close and latch the top.
