Tow Hook Replacement Front Export

1. Remove the front fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement in Bumpers.
2. Cut through the welds attaching the tow hook to the impact bar.
3. Remove the tow hook.

1. Position the tow hook to the passenger side of the impact bar. The near edge of the tow hood should be 325 mm (13 in) from the side rail.
2. Mig Weld, with 50 mm (2 in) long welds, the hook assembly to the impact bar in 4 places:

Front

•

Rear

•	Inboard side

•	Outboard side

3. Clean and prepare all welded surfaces.
4. Apply an approved anti-corrosion primer. Refer to GM P/N 4901 MD Refinish Manual.
5. Install the front fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement in Bumpers.

Tow Hook Replacement Rear Export

1. Remove the rear fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement in Bumpers.
2. Cut through the welds attaching the tow hook to the impact bar.
3. Remove the tow hook.

1. Position the tow hook to the center of the rear impact bar.
2. Mig Weld, with 55 mm (2.5 in) long welds, the hook assembly to the impact bar in 4 places:

Front

•

Rear

•	Inboard side

•	Outboard side

3. Clean and prepare all welded surfaces.
4. Apply an approved anti-corrosion primer. Refer to GM P/N 4901 MD Refinish Manual.
5. Install the rear fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement in Bumpers.
