Tow Hook Replacement Front Export
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front fascia.
Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
in Bumpers.
- Cut through the welds attaching the tow hook to the impact bar.
- Remove the tow hook.
Installation Procedure
- Position the tow hook
to the passenger side of the impact bar. The near edge of the tow hood should
be 325 mm (13 in) from the side rail.
- Mig Weld, with 50 mm (2 in) long welds, the hook
assembly to the impact bar in 4 places:
- Clean and prepare all welded surfaces.
- Apply an approved anti-corrosion primer. Refer to GM P/N 4901

- Install the front fascia. Refer to

in Bumpers.
Tow Hook Replacement Rear Export
Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear fascia.
Refer to
Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement
in Bumpers.
- Cut through the welds attaching the tow hook to the impact bar.
- Remove the tow hook.
Installation Procedure
- Position the tow hook
to the center of the rear impact bar.
- Mig Weld, with 55 mm (2.5 in) long welds,
the hook assembly to the impact bar in 4 places:
- Clean and prepare all welded surfaces.
- Apply an approved anti-corrosion primer. Refer to GM P/N 4901

- Install the rear fascia. Refer to
