The die-cast water pump is a centrifugal vane impeller type. The impeller turns on a steel shaft that rotates in a permanently lubricated ball bearing.

The water pump and pulley are a one piece assembly.

The water pump block-to-pump sealing gaskets have an aluminum carrier with a silicone bead.

The pump inlet connects to the bottom of the radiator with the rubber radiator outlet hose. Coolant from the water pump passes through the engine front cover, then into the coolant passages in the engine block in order to absorb excess engine heat.
