- Connect a test light between the park/neutral position switch
connector C1 terminal C and ground.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Does the test light illuminate?

- Connect a DMM between the park/neutral position switch terminal
C and terminal B.
- Place gearshift selector in the PARK position.
- Measure for continuity between terminal C and terminal B of the
park/neutral position switch.

gearshift selector is placed in PARK?

- Disconnect the brake transmission shift interlock switch connector.
- Test circuit 434 from the park/neutral position switch to the
brake transmission shift interlock switch for an open or high resistance.
Is circuit 434 continuous between these two connectors?

- DO NOT press the brake pedal.
