Go to Diagnostic System Check

  1. Disconnect the HVAC Control Assembly connector C2.
  2. Disconnect the blower motor control module connector C1.
  3. Connect a fused jumper wire between terminal B and terminal G of the HVAC Control Assembly connector C2.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  5. Connect a test light between terminal A of the blower motor control module connector C1 and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 63.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 7

  1. Remove the fused jumper wire.
  2. Connect the HVAC Control Assembly connector C2.
  3. Turn the blower switch to position 2.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  5. Connect a test light between terminal A of the blower motor control module connector C1 and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

Replace the HVAC Control Assembly. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Replace the blower motor control module. Refer to Blower Motor Resistor Replacement .

  1. Clear any DTCs which may have set. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing .
  2. Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

  1. Clear any DTCs which may have set. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing .

  5. Connect a test light between terminal C of the blower motor control module connector C1 and ground.
