  1. Disconnect the blower motor control module connector C1.
  2. Connect a test light between terminal F of the blower motor module connector C1 and ground.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  4. Place the HVAC selector switch in the VENT position.
  5. Turn the blower switch to position 5.

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the HVAC Control Assembly connector C2.
  3. Connect a DMM between the HVAC Control Assembly connector C2 terminal C and the blower motor module connector C1 terminal F.
  4. Measure CKT 52 for continuity between these connectors.

Is CKT 52 continuous between the HVAC Control Assembly connector C2 and the blower motor module connector C1?

Replace the HVAC Control Assembly. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 52.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 9

Connect a test light between the blower motor control module connector C1 terminal G and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 1342 between the instrument panel electrical center and the blower motor control module connector C1.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 9

Replace the blower motor control module. Refer to Blower Motor Resistor Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

  1. Clear any DTCs which may have set. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing .
  2. Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
