Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 295301 Size: SH
  1. Position the temperature valve actuator, then align the slots in the temperature valve actuator driver to the flats on the temperature valve shaft.
  2. Important: The actuator driver should completely seat onto the temperature valve shaft and the actuator mounting holes should be flush with the mounting bosses on the HVAC module case.

  3. Slide the temperature valve actuator driver onto the shaft, while aligning the actuator locating hole to the forward alignment pin on the HVAC module case.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the temperature valve actuator retaining screws.
  6. Tighten
Tighten the temperature valve actuator retaining screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

    Object Number: 295297 Size: SH
  7. Connect the electrical connector to the temperature valve actuator.

  8. Object Number: 95655 Size: SH
  9. Install the LH side window defogger outlet duct - lower.
  10. 5.1. Use a twisting motion to secure the defogger outlet duct - lower to the defogger outlet duct - upper, then to the windshield defroster duct.
    5.2. Install the push-in retainer.

    Object Number: 95727 Size: SH
  11. Install the IPC into position.
  12. Install the IPC to steering column bracket retaining screws.
  13. Tighten
