Does the RH front turn signal lamp turn on when the RH DRL relay is on?

  1. Install a scan tool, and go to IPC special functions.
  2. Monitor the parking brake switch status.
  3. Operate the parking brake lever off and on.

Does the scan tool indicate the parking brake switch input off and on?

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement and Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .

Replace the ambient light sensor. Refer to Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) Ambient Light Sensor Replacement .

  1. Clear any DTCs which may have set. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing .
  2. Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

  1. Install a scan tool, and go to BCM special functions.
  2. Command the ALC Headlamp Relay on and off.

Does the scan tool indicate the relay turning on and off?

Do the headlamps turn on and off, with the scan tool indicating the ALC Headlamp Relay on and off?

  1. Remove the ALC HDLP Micro Relay #44.
  2. Using a DMM measure the resistance across the relay coil.

Is the resistance within specified values?

50-100 ohms

Test and repair the ALC HDLP relay control circuit 999 for an open or high resistance if OK replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement and Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .

Test and repair the ALC headlamp circuit 103 for an open or high resistance if OK replace the ALC HDLP Micro Relay #44.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Remove the ALC PRK LP Micro Relay #43.
  2. Using a DMM measure the resistance across the relay coil.

Is the resistance within specified values?

50-100 ohms

Test and repair the ALC PRK LP relay control circuit 1784 for an open or high resistance if OK replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement and Body Control Module Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Test and repair the parking lamp feed circuit 9 for an open or high resistance between the instrument panel electrical center connector C2 terminal E6 and splice S205, if OK replace the ALC PRK LP Micro Relay #43.

Is the repair complete?
