Are all the lamps controlled by the MONITORED LD relay #37 inoperative with the ignition ON?

Inspect the MONITORED LD fuse #2 for an open.

Is the fuse open?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Repair the short to ground in the monitored load lamp feed circuit 640.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 13

  1. Remove the MONITORED LD relay #37 in the instrument panel electrical center.
  2. Connect a fused jumper wire from the battery feed circuit to the lamp feed circuit relay terminals in the instrument panel electrical center.

Do the monitored load lamps illuminate?

  1. Reinstall the MONITORED LD relay #37 in the instrument panel electrical center.
  2. Disconnect the BCM connector C1.
  3. Using a fused jumper wire ground the MONITORED LD relay #37 control circuit 1393.

Do the monitored load lamps illuminate?

Test and repair the MONITORED LD relay #37 control circuit 1393 for an open or high resistance.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Replace the MONITORED LD relay #37.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement and Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .

Is the repair complete?

Test and repair the monitored load lamp feed circuit 640 for an open or high resistance.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 13

Test and repair the monitored load lamp ground circuit 150 for an open or high resistance.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Replace the inoperative lamps as necessary.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Clear any DTCs which may have set. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing .
  2. Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
