Fog Lamp Switch Illumination Is Inoperative

  1. Disconnect the fog lamp switch connector.
  2. Connect a test light between the switch connector terminal 7 and ground.
  3. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
  4. Turn the instrument panel dimmer switch to the brightest position.

Does the test light illuminate?

Connect the test light between the switch connector terminals 7 and 8.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 7

Repair the open or high resistance in the parking lamp feed circuit 9.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 8

  1. Disconnect the instrument panel connector.
  2. Test and repair the fog lamp switch illumination control circuit 717 for an open or high resistance.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 8

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Replace the fog lamp switch illumination bulb.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Clear any DTCs which may have set. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing .
  2. Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
