Go To Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems

Inspect the wiring harness connecting the instrument panel dimmer rheostat to the instrument cluster for damage, looseness, or exposed wiring.

Is the wiring harness in good condition?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Repair or replace the wiring harness connecting the instrument panel dimmer rheostat to the instrument cluster.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 6

Replace the instrument panel dimmer rheostat. Refer to Instrument Panel Lamp Dimmer Switch Replacement .

Is the interior lights dimming function operating normally?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 6

--

1. Clear any DTCs which may have set. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing .
2. Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
