DEFINITION: One or more headlamps, high or low beam are inoperative.

Inspect the fuse in the underhood electrical center relative to the inoperative headlamp.

Is the fuse open?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 3

1. Remove the fuse relative to the inoperative headlamp.
2. Disconnect the inoperative headlamp bulb connector.
3. Connect a DMM from the fuse terminal A in the underhood electrical center to the bulb connector.
4. Measure the resistance of the circuit relative to the inoperative headlamp.

•	RH low beam, circuit 312

•	RH high beam, circuit 311

•	LH low beam, circuit 712

•	LH high beam, circuit 711

Is the resistance within specified values?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 6

1. Connect a DMM from the headlamp bulb connector to ground.
2. Measure the resistance of the inoperative headlamp ground circuit 150.

Is the resistance within specified values?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Repair the short to ground in the circuit relative to the inoperative headlamp.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Repair the open or high resistance in the circuit relative to the inoperative headlamp.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 9

--

Repair the open or high resistance in the ground circuit 150, relative to the inoperative headlamp.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 9

--

Replace the inoperative headlamp bulb. Refer to Headlamp Bulb Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 9

--

1. Clear any DTCs which may have set. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing .
2. Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
