Has the Lighting Systems Diagnostic System Check been performed?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems

1. Disconnect one of the inoperative stop lamp connectors.
2. Connect a test light from the connector terminal A to ground.
3. Press the brake pedal.

Does the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Repair the open or high resistance in the stop lamp feed circuit 820.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 7

--

1. Connect a test light from the stop lamp connector terminals A to B.
2. Press the brake pedal.

Does the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Repair the open or high resistance in the ground circuit 150.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 7

Replace the inoperative stop lamps as necessary. Refer to Tail/Turn Signal Lamp Replacement and High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
