Turn the headlamp switch ON and switch to high beam mode.

Are the high beam lamps ON?

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  2. Connect a test light between the instrument cluster connector terminal A2 and ground.
  3. Turn the headlamp switch ON and switch to high beam mode.

Does the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Inspect the high beam indicator bulb for an open.

Is the high beam indicator bulb open?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Replace the high beam indicator bulb. Refer to Instrument Cluster Indicator Lamp Replacement .

Repair the open or a high resistance in circuit 11 between the instrument cluster connector terminal A2 and C209 terminal K.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
