Circuit Description

When a receiver is replaced, program all transmitters to the new electronic door lock receiver. DTC B2805 will remain current until at least one transmitter is programmed. The electronic door lock receiver can stored up to 3 identification codes at a time.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The electronic door lock receiver has indicated that no transmitter Vehicle Access Code (VAC) has been programmed.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

    • Stores a DTC B2805 in the receiver memory
    • No driver warning message will be displayed for this DTC.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The electronic door lock receiver can only detect this condition as a current code. Therefore, when the receiver has indicated that a valid VAC was programmed properly, this DTC will automatically clear.

Diagnostic Aids

A DTC B2805 will remain stored in the receiver's memory until at least one transmitter is programmed.

Test Description

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table:

  1. Tests if the remote control door lock receiver was recently replaced. Program the keyless entry transmitters and the tire pressure monitor sensors when the remote control door lock receiver is replaced. Refer to Transmitter Programming/Synchronization and Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor Programming in Tire Pressure Monitor.

  1. Replace the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Receiver Replacement .
  2. Program all TPM sensors. Refer to Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor Programming in Tire Pressure Monitor.
  3. Program all RFA transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Programming/Synchronization .

  1. Use a scan tool in order to clear the DTCs.
  2. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC as specified in the supporting text.
