LH Power Mirror Inoperative

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Select LH DCM display DTC function on the scan tool.

Does the scan tool display DTC B2222, B2224, B2226, B2228, B2232, B2234, or B2272 as history?

With a scan tool, command the LH DCM to operate the LH mirror UP and DOWN.

Does the LH mirror operate UP and DOWN with each command?

With a scan tool, command the LH DCM to operate the LH mirror LEFT and RIGHT.

Does the LH mirror operate LEFT and RIGHT with each command?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the LH mirror motor connector.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Connect a test lamp between both LH vertical mirror motor control circuits
  5. With a scan tool, command the LH DCM to operate the LH mirror UP and DOWN.

Does the test lamp turn ON and OFF with each command?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Connect a test lamp between both LH horizontal mirror motor control circuits
  4. With a scan tool, command the LH DCM to operate the LH mirror LEFT and RIGHT.

Does the test lamp turn ON and OFF with each command?

  1. Activate the LH mirror select switch.
  2. With a scan tool, observe the Driver Mirror Select Switch parameter in the LH DCM data list.

Does the Driver Mirror Select Switch parameter change state?

  1. Activate the LH mirror switch UP and Down.
  2. With a scan tool, observe both the Mirror Up and Mirror Down Switch parameter in the LH DCM data list.

Does the Mirror Up and Mirror Down Switch parameter change state?

  1. Activate the LH mirror switch LEFT and RIGHT.
  2. With a scan tool, observe both the Mirror Left and Mirror Right Switch parameter in the LH DCM data list.

Test the LH mirror select switch signal and ground circuits for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
