Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 289910  Size: SH
  1. Open the stowage lid and position the top with the number one and five bow up.

  2. Object Number: 214013  Size: SH
  3. Remove the stowage lid extension panel. Refer to Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Extension in Interior Trim.

  4. Object Number: 214150  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  6. Remove the bolts attaching the latch.
  7. Remove the latch.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 214150  Size: SH
  1. Install the bolts attaching the latch.
  2. Adjust the latch:
  3. • Adjust the latch up or down to flush the lid.
    • Adjust the latch side to side to gap the lid to the quarter panels.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Tighten the latch bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the folding top stowage lid latch bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Connect the electrical connector.
  7. Route the manual release cable down over the intermediate carpet and lay the end of the cable on the rear floor carpet.

  8. Object Number: 214013  Size: SH
  9. Install the stowage lid extension panel.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the stowage lid extension panel bolts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  11. Close the lid and secure the folding top.
