Did you review the Wiper/Washer System Description and Operation and perform the necessary inspections?

Go to Symptoms - Wiper/Washer Systems

1. Verify the windshield washer reservoir is full.
2. Turn the ignition on.
3. Wait one minute.

Is the LOW WASHER FLUID message displayed on the driver information center?

Go to Step 3

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

1. Disconnect the windshield washer solvent level switch connector.
2. Turn the ignition on.
3. Wait one minute.

Is the LOW WASHER FLUID message displayed on the driver information center?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Test and repair the windshield washer solvent level switch signal circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Replace the windshield washer solvent level switch. Refer to Washer Pump/Reservoir Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console,

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
