  1. Place ignition switch in RUN position.
  2. Place heater and A/C controller mode switch in the Off position.
  3. Place the blower motor switch in the HI position.

Blower motor will not operate.

Blower Motor Always On

  1. Place the heater and A/C controller mode switch in the heat position.
  2. Place the blower motor switch in the following positions:
  3. • LO
    • Medium 1
    • Medium 2
    • HI

Blower motor speed will increase from one position to the next.

  1. Place the blower motor switch in the HIGH position.
  2. Place the heater and A/C controller mode switch in each of the following positions:
  3. • Max A/C
    • A/C
    • Bi Level
    • Vent
    • Heat
    • Blend
    • Defrost

Blower motor will operate at High speed in each position.

Blower motor does not operate in one or more of the positions.

  1. Place the blower motor switch in the LO position.
  2. Operate Blower motor at low speed for ten minutes.

Blower motor will run continuously.

Blower motor will operate for a short period of time, stop, then start again.

Blower Motor and Fan Replacement

The following procedure applies to cargo and passenger vehicles equipped with an auxiliary blower motor.

  1. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  2. Place the front auxiliary HVAC control module switch in the OFF position.
  3. Place the rear auxiliary HVAC control module switch in the OFF position.

Auxiliary blower motor will not operate.

Auxiliary Blower Motor Always On

Place the front auxiliary HVAC blower motor switch in the following positions:

    • LO
    • MED
    • HIGH

Auxiliary blower motor speed will increase from one position to the next.

The following procedure applies to passenger vehicles equipped with an auxiliary blower motor.

  1. Place the front auxiliary HVAC control module switch in the REAR CNTL position.
  2. Place the rear auxiliary control module switch in the OFF position.

Auxiliary blower motor will not operate.

Auxiliary Blower Motor Always On

Place the rear auxiliary control module in the following positions:

    • LOW
    • MED
    • HIGH

Auxiliary blower motor speed will increase from one position to the next.
