Fuel Level Diagnostics/Specs Inaccurate - keywords code gauge inop inoperative intermittent level P0461

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

When diagnosing the fuel gauge on a 2006 Chevrolet HHR, you will see that on Document ID # 1596320 the fuel level specs are reversed.

Use the following as a guide for diagnostics :

Empty - 234.9-250 ohms

1/4 - 196.7 ohms

1/2 - 151.9 ohms

3/4 - 107.9 ohms

Full - 40-62 ohms

Low fuel indicator ON - 234.9 ohms
