Up-Shift Light is Inoperative On Manual Transmission Vehicles - keywords cluster inop IPC shift

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

The customer might comment that their up-shift light does NOT come on when accelerating. The owners manual (page 3-32) talks about the cluster up-shift light.

This is a normal condition, as the HHR (Manual Transmission) does NOT have a up-shift light. The appropriate corrections are being made at this time in SI and owners manuals.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
