Cruise Control Inoperative with P0575 Setting - keywords BCM fog lamp light operation options PCM SES setup SVS

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A customer might comment that their cruise control is inoperative and you might have a code P0575 stored into the PCM. This condition can be caused by the Cruise control option in the BCM NOT being properly turned on after a BCM was replaced for another reason.

First thing is to navigate to the BCM module setup menu:

Diagnostics " (6) 2006 " LD Trk, MPV, Incomplete " (C) Chevrolet Truck " A " Other " Vehicle Control Systems " (C) Chevrolet Truck " A " (F) 2.2L L4 L61 " Computer/Integrating Systems " Module Setup " BCM Setup > Due you want to setup a new BCM? > Yes > Would you like to configure options only? > Yes

Check is for an " * " asterisks next to the Cruise Control option (Second/Third page in setup) If there is an " * " asterisks then perform normal P0575 diagnostics. If not then put one beside the Cruise control option and save options, clear codes, and retest for cruise operation.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
