Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 1997 🢒 Lumina 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 3.4L 🢒 Oil Pump Drive Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the right cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 62736 Size: MH
  2. Remove the oil pump drive mounting bolt and clamp.
  3. Remove the oil pump drive.
  4. Remove the oil pump drive Airing.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 62736 Size: MH
  1. Lubricate the oil pump drive Airing with engine oil.
  2. Install the oil pump drive Airing.
  3. Lubricate the drive gear with grease.
  4. Install the oil pump drive.
  5. Install the oil pump drive clamp and the mounting bolt.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pump drive mounting bolt to 36 N·m (27 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the right cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Replacement .
