Go to Exterior Lights System Check

1. Disconnect the high mounted stop lamp assembly connector.
2. Connect a test lamp between terminal A of the high mounted stop lamp assembly connector and ground.
3. Depress the brake pedal.

Does the test lamp light?

1. Connect a test lamp between terminal A and terminal B of the high mounted stop lamp assembly connector.
2. Depress the brake pedal.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 20 between splice pack S301 and the high mounted stop lamp assembly. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

Replace the faulty bulb or repair the open in the lamp assembly. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement .

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

Repair the open in CKT 850 between the high mounted stop lamp assembly and ground splice pack G402. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
