Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement in Body Front End.
  2. Mark the location of the hinge in relation to the hinge pillar and the door.
  3. Remove the front door. Refer to Front Side Door Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 591012  Size: SH
  5. Remove the door hinge bolts (1, 2) from the hinge pillar.
  6. Remove the door hinge.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 591012  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the door hinge bolts (1, 2) to the hinge pillar.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the front door to the hinges. Refer to Front Side Door Replacement .
  4. Important: Door alignment must be properly adjusted before installing the front fender.

  5. Install the front fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement in Body Front End.
  6. Adjust the door lock striker after the door hinge adjustments are completed. Refer to Door Striker Replacement Striker Replacement - Door.
