The sunroof switch controls the position of the sunroof glass panel. You may slide the sunroof sunshade panel open or closed. You may tilt the rear of the panel into a vent position.

When you move the sunroof switch to the OPEN/VENT position, power is sent through the vent limit switch to the sunroof motor. The vent limit switch is closed when the sunroof is between the VENT position and the FULL OPEN position. When the sunroof panel reaches the vent position the following actions occur:

    • The vent limit switch opens.
    • The vent limit switch disconnects the power to the sunroof motor.

In order to continue to open the sunroof panel, the driver must release the sunroof switch and press the switch a second time. The sunroof will perform the following functions:

  1. The sunroof will go into express mode.
  2. The sunroof glass panel will open to full position. The panel will stop if you press the sunroof panel switch again.

When you press the close switch, the sunroof glass panel will close until one of the following actions occurs:

    • You release the sunroof switch.
    • The sunroof glass panel fully closes.

The sunroof glass will automatically stop at the fully open or closed position. The panel will stop when approaching from either of the following positions:

    • The vent position
    • The sliding positions

The soft stop limit switch senses the fully open or closed position. The soft stop limit switch remains in the open position, except when the sunroof glass panel is fully open or fully closed.
