Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 747614 Size: SH
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
  2. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate from the IP carrier. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the hazard warning switch electrical connector if required.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the dimmer switch (2).
  5. With a small flat-bladed tool gently pry on the release tabs (1) for the dimmer switch (2).
  6. Remove the dimmer switch (2) by pushing in a inward motion while holding onto the instrument panel cluster trim plate.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the dimmer switch (2) into the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
  2. With light pressure push the dimmer switch (2) into the instrument panel cluster trim plate until fully seated inside tabs (1).
  3. Connect the electrical connector to the dimmer switch (2).
  4. Connect the hazard warning switch electrical connector if required.
  5. Install the instrument cluster trim plate to the IP Carrier. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
