Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the door window to the full up position.
  2. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove enough door water deflector in order to access the door inside handle. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 384858 Size: SH
  4. Remove the rivet (1) from the door inside handle.
  5. Remove the screw (2) on the door inside handle.
  6. Remove the rod from the door inside handle.
  7. Remove the door inside handle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 384858 Size: SH
  1. Install the rod to the door inside handle.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the screw (2) to the door inside handle.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to fully driven, seated, not stripped.

  3. Install the rivet (1) to the door inside handle.
  4. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  5. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to the Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
