Removal Procedure
- Remove the rubber conduit
from the door, if equipped.
- Pull the door wire harness connector and grommet assembly (1)
away from the body, if equipped.
- Disconnected the door wire harness connector, if equipped.
- Remove the door check link to hinge pillar bolt.
- Support the door.
- Mark the position of the
door hinge relative to the hinge pillar.
- Remove the lower hinge bolts (2) from the hinge pillar.
- Remove the upper hinge bolts (1) from the hinge pillar.
- Remove the door from the body.
Installation Procedure
- Install the door to the
body.
- Snug the upper hinge bolts (1) in order for the door to
move.
- Snug the lower hinge bolts (2) in order for the door to
move.
- Carefully close the door.
- Adjust the door for proper alignment.
- Open the door slowly.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Tighten the upper
hinge bolts (1) to the hinge pillar.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Tighten the lower hinge bolts (2) to the hinge pillar.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Inspect the door for proper alignment.
- Install the door check link to hinge pillar bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Connect the door wire
harness connector.
- Push the door wire harness connector and grommet assembly (1)
into the conduit access hole. Ensure that the grommet is retained.
- Install the rubber conduit to the door and body, if equipped.
