Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear bumper Fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement in Bumpers.
  2. Remove the rear compartment sill trim plate. Refer to Rear Compartment Sill Trim Plate Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 747894  Size: SH
  4. Remove the rear compartment lid lock striker nuts (1) from the striker.
  5. Remove the rear compartment lid lock striker from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear compartment lid lock striker to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 747894  Size: SH
  3. Install the rear compartment lid lock striker nuts (1) to the lock striker.
  4. Hand tighten the rear compartment lid lock striker nuts.

  5. Adjust the rear compartment lid alignment and closing effort as necessary.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Tighten the rear compartment lid lock striker nuts.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  9. Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement in Bumpers.
  10. Install the rear compartment sill trim plate. Refer to Rear Compartment Sill Trim Plate Replacement .
  11. Close the rear compartment.
