Removal Procedure

  1. Close the sunroof.
  2. Remove the sunroof sunshade. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement .
  3. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  4. Object Number: 282457  Size: MH
  5. Disconnect the sunroof module electrical connector from the sunroof module.
  6. Disconnect the front and rear sunroof module drain hoses from the sunroof module.
  7. With help from an assistant, support the sunroof module before removing the bolts.
  8. Remove the sunroof module bolts from the sunroof module.
  9. Remove the sunroof module from the vehicle through the door opening, with an assistant.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 282457  Size: MH
  1. Install the sunroof module to the vehicle through the door opening.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the sunroof module bolts to the sunroof module.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

  5. Connect the front and rear sunroof module drain hoses to the sunroof module.
  6. Connect the sunroof module electrical connector to the sunroof module.
  7. Install the headlining trim finish panel. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  8. Install the sunroof sunshade. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement .
  9. Inspect the sunroof for proper operation.
