Doors May Relock After Unlocking with the Key - keywords BCM cylinder installed intermittent latch lock unlock

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

The doors might relock after unlocking them with the drivers door key lock cylinder. This condition can occur if the wrong drivers door latch (P/N 15253464 for 2004-05 models) was installed into the vehicle for another concern.

Replace the door latch with P/N 15849807.

Note: Do NOT replace the BCM for this condition.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
